Steinar was born in Oslo in 1957. His family moved out of the city
when he was 3, and due to the nature of his father's job he lived in
several small towns in Akershus County while growing up. He graduated
from Lillestrøm
videregående skole and then went on to what was then NTH (the
Norwegian Institute of Technology), now part of NTNU, with a degree in
electrical engineering. Since then he has been working in the
computer field, with a special interest in computer networks.Steinar is a very private person who would probably never write a web page about himself, which is why I have taken the liberty of writing this. He is also, if I may say this as his wife of ten years, a very intelligent, hard-working man with a great sense of humor, and a loving and dedicated father to our two sons.
